The Heritage Gallery was established in 1997 to cater for artist and art enthusiasts in the city of Abuja and its immediate environs. It gives residents and visitors to the beautiful Federal Capital Territory the first touch with Nigeria’s cultural traditions through paintings, sculpture, ceramics and the little carry-on art pieces/souvenirs.
The Gallery’s artists, who spread across the country and parts of the West African sub region, constantly produce works of art in very unique styles and movements to ensure that their presence is of immense positive reflection in the promotion of art in Nigeria’s capital city.
The Gallery has continued to add to the FCTA Arts and Culture’s mandate as custodians of Arts and Culture of the peoples of Abuja through the preservation and protection of cultural relics and traditional arts and its related events/festivals, which the Social Development Secretariat proudly supports as a binding/bridge building project.
Location: Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts and Culture, Area 10, Garki, Abuja.
